We work with families, child care providers and collateral services to support children in licensed child care centres, nursery schools and family child care homes where children have behaviour/social/emotional challenges.
If you are worried about how your child is adjusting to child care or if you child care provider has expressed concerns about your child’s behaviour or development, we may be able to help.
What we offer
A Behaviour Support Coordinator will observe your child in the child care setting or at home and consult with you and your provider. She will work with you to develop a comprehensive service plan. This may involve working with your provider to find better ways of understanding and meeting your child’s needs, new strategies and resources and/or a customized workshop or coaching for the child care staff. Your Coordinator will offer you professional support and guidance and, if needed, will refer you to other services in the community.
